Senior Software Developer

OPPORTUNITY

Our team is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Developer. As part of this team, you will be working closely to design, automate, and implement industry leading solutions to support internal needs of our SaaS based platform. Our developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with our development team on making decisions together in order to quickly deliver valuable working software to our business and their customers. Our developers are agile and retrospective, and not afraid to identify what we’re doing wrong, so we can fix it, and what we’re doing right, so we can improve on it. This role involves limited supervision, but largely works independently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of our business
  • Design and develop full stack applications and user interfaces
  • Rearchitect a massive system focusing on containerization and horizontal scaling
  • Problem solve throughout the software stack that handles a lot of data
  • Provide technical leadership and code correctness
  • Lead code reviews, retrospectives, and provide feedback/input to others as a part of team learning
  • Mentor and lead other developers during project execution
  • Work within the development team to advise on technology decisions
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related field
    • Candidates with equivalent work experience are considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience
  • Experience with modern software development technologies and environments such as: cloud computing, progressive web applications, C#, React, GitHub, Azure DevOps, AWS, SQL Server, and PostgresQL
  • 3+ years designing/deploying/supporting AWS solutions
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
  • Experience programming in C# (.NET Core)
  • Comfortable developing with GitHub and Continuous Integration (CI/CD)
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar tools for tracking, developing, and deploying software
  • Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and ability to learn quickly
  • Experience engaging cross functional teams
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Nice to Haves:
    • Retail energy experience
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
    • Experience with microservices, low code services, no code services, event driven services, or other distributed systems
