Full Stack Developer

OPPORTUNITY

Our team is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated Developer. As part of this team, you will be working closely to design, automate, and implement industry-leading solutions to support the needs of our AWS SaaS-based platform. Our users are both internal and external. Our developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work with our development team to make decisions to quickly deliver valuable working software to our business and their customers. Our developers are agile and retrospective and not afraid to identify what we’re doing wrong, so we can fix it and what we’re doing right, so we can improve on it.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • The position requires limited supervision to work remotely
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of our business
  • Design and develop full-stack applications and user interfaces
  • Write, tune, and optimize SQL queries against large data sets
  • Perform code reviews
  • Collaborate with other senior developers on technical solutions
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  •  Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 3+ years of cloud-first application development experience on AWS that scales up and out
  • Hands-on experience working with AWS Security in a production environment
  • Experience with modern software development technologies and environments such as Cloud computing, Modern web frameworks and technologies, .NET 6+, ASP.NET CORE, React /Next.js, GitHub, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
  • AWS serverless experience with items like databases, functions, state machines, and web applications
  • Experience authoring secure API using REST and/or GraphQL APIs
  • Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and ability to learn quickly
  • Experience engaging cross-functional teams
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

NICE TO HAVE

  • Prior experience working on a SaaS-based platform
  • Retail energy experience
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
  • Experience with microservices, low code services, no code services, event-driven services, or other distributed systems
